Tech
Tutors provides two kinds of help:
technical support and computer
tutoring.
- Technical support is the repairing, upgrading,
or building of a computer system.
- Computer tutoring is person-to-person
instruction for the purpose of helping a customer use his/her
computer.
- The range of computer help that we at ACTT can provide is
limited only by our tutors' skills.

| What does it mean to be a tutor? |
- Tutors are the computer specialists to whom
we at ACTT offer computer related work.
- Tutors are NOT employees.
- Tutors are hired by ACTT on a per-job basis as independent
contractors (businesses unto themselves).
- Tutors choose what jobs they take, and how they fulfill their customers'
needs.

| How do tutors get jobs? |
- ACTT offers jobs to tutors by phone,
e-mail, and online.
- When a customer presents us with a computer related problem we make
a list of tutors with the skills needed to solve that problem.
- To each of the tutors on the list we make a phone call and send
an e-mail offering them the job.
- We also post the job description on a website that our registered
tutors can access.
- The first tutor that calls or e-mails us to accept the job wins
it.

| What happens when a tutor gets a
job? |
- Once a tutor has been established as our
agent on a job we provide him/her with the customer's contact information.
- The tutor must then gather information from the customer to help
him/her plan the best course of action to meet the customer's needs.
- Finally, the tutor and customer negotiate the when and where of
the work.

| What does the tutor get out it? |
- The tutor gets money and experience.
- For tutoring, we pay a set amount per hour, or any part hour.
- The amount of time required to complete a technical service job
is estimated by ACTT and quoted to the customer up front.
- This means that technical service jobs are offered to tutors with
a pre-set payout.
- Our tutors will also gain valuable experience in the fields of computer
technology and customer service.

| How do I get added to your database
of tutors? |
- The first step towards becoming a tutor is
to click on the link below and submit your name and contact information.
- You will then be directed to our tutor profile page where your initial
skill set will be recorded.
- Your skill set will then be finalized via a telephone interview.
- Once your profile is complete it will be added to our database and
we will offer you jobs that match your skills as we receive them.
